Case Studies

Both primary care and specialist physicians play a significant role in delivering optimal management for patients with allergic disease. To shed light on best practices in management of allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis, anaphylaxis and food allergy; eight unique case studies have been developed with leading specialists and general practitioners in the field.

Each patient case study is divided into two sections:

  • Best practice in primary care – This section illustrates how primary care physicians can support their patients through medical history taking, physical examination, relevant testing, treatment initiation and referral (when necessary).
  • Best practice in specialist care – This section highlights how allergists can further support and manage patients upon referral. This includes additional tests, management plans and treatment options.
